This Viking Necklace is part of our Viking Jewelry Collection. The beaded surface of this raised Celtic pendant has been oxidised to give it an antique, matte gunmetal appearance. It is then decorated with polished stylized snake symbols. It is also adorned with a Viking Warrior 18K Gold Bead.
The Viking Jewelry collection is inspired by the Vikings. The Vikings came to Ireland in 795AD and gave Dublin or Dubh-Linn, meaning Black Pool, its name. They were in Ireland until King Brian Boru defeated them in 1014. This happened during the Battle of Clontarf on Good Friday, April 23, 1014.
The Viking jewelry collection captures the essence of these Viking warriors and celebrates their creativity. Using silver and pewter they created dress clasps, necklaces, cloak fastenings, brooches, rings and armlets in a variety of shapes and sizes.
We also have Viking Earrings to go with this Necklace.

Frequently Asked Questions
Were there any Irish Vikings?
The Vikings settled in Dublin from 841 AD onwards. During their reign Dublin became the most important town in Ireland as well as a hub for the western Viking expansion and trade. It is in fact one of the best known Viking settlements. Dublin appears to have been founded twice by the Vikings.
What were the Vikings known for?
The Vikings are mostly known for their relentless pillaging, and rightly so. At the same time, many of them lived peacefully as traders and farmers, and many expeditions were based on barter deals. Those who stayed home supported their families through simple farming activities.
What jewelry did the Vikings have?
Viking jewelry was mostly made of silver or bronze, with gold jewelry often reserved for the elite. Viking jewelry for women included brooches used to fasten their clothes together, as well as necklaces. Men, on the other hand, wore rings. That's the kind of jewelry we based our authentic Viking style Jewelry collection on.
