The first record of the Vikings in Dublin comes from a 10th-century account of an attack on Dublin by the Norsemen. It is thought that the Viking settlement of Dublin began in the 9th century, when Norsemen crossed the Irish Sea in search of plunder and settlement. Dublin quickly became a major centre of Viking activity in Ireland, and by the 11th century, it was an important base for the Norsemen in their campaigns against the rest of Ireland and England. The Vikings remained in Dublin until the mid-11th century, when they were driven out by the Irish king Dermot MacMurrough.

The Viking Jewelry collection captures the essence of these Viking warriors and celebrates their creativity. Using silver and pewter they created dress clasps, necklaces, cloak fastenings, brooches, rings and armlets in a variety of shapes and sizes.
